Mark your calendars now for a week of staff appreciation. Hanover Parent Survey STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK Please encourage your children to do their very best! HANOVER SURVEY All student will begin with the writing assessment the week of April 24. Students will be tested in reading, writing, and math. Our Kindergarten through Second Grade students will participate in Local Measures testing in the coming weeks. Thank you all for joining us for Toon Con on Friday! We were so impressed by all our student performers and artists! We greatly appreciate our PTA and VAPA teachers’ efforts to put on such an excellent event for our community! LOCAL MEASURES TESTING Please check out the learning and fun we had at Hedenkamp last week! and the movie begins dusk.Īll students must be accompanied by an adult and the GATES are LOCKED at 10:00 p.m. Please come for the movie, or, if you can, stay the night with the family. Bring your own food or buy from the PTA. Please join us for our annual free outdoor movie night and campout on Friday, May 19. Hanover Parent Survey CAMP HEDENKAMP CAMPOUT Your opinions count and we will thoughtfully and purposefully take your ideas to make our school a better place for children. Each year, we analyze the results of the survey. Please make every effort to fill out this very important survey. Topics on this important survey include school appearance, finances, technology, instruction, as well as attitudes about safety, transportation, climate and communication. Please encourage your children to do their very best! We know they are prepared to show all they know on these end of year tests! HANOVER SURVEY Please help ensure your children are well rested and eat a nutritious breakfast either at home or at school. Students will need headphones for CAASPP testing, if you can send them in with your child that would be great. Fifth Grade will also be tested in Science on May 2. The schedule for each grade level is listed on the right side of the blog under important events. Our students will continue to participate in Local Measures and CAASPP testing in the coming weeks. If you are available to help one day next week that would be great! Please come at one of our recess times: Grades 1-2 Grades 3-4 10:35, Grades 5-6 11:00, Kinder 11:05 Grades 1-2 1:45, 3rd Grade 2:00, TK and Kinder 2:10, I know our teachers will greatly appreciate the break and your children would love to have you visit at recess! TESTING CONTINUES We would love to have some parents come help with recess supervision. Friday, May 5th – FLOWER DAY: bring a flower from your garden or buy one at school and together they will make a beautiful bouquet.Īlso, we would like to give our teachers a break from recess duty for the week. Thursday, May 4th – RED CARPET DAY: dress up fancy and wear your bow-ties and mustaches!.Wednesday, May 3rd – SUPPLIES: the end (of the school year) is almost near and so are the supplies! Consider donating an item such as pencils, tissues or markers for the classroom.Tuesday, May 2nd – SUPER FAN DAY: wear your teacher’s favorite color.Monday, May 1st – STUDENT NOTES: have your child bring a note/poem of appreciation for his/her teacher and/or a staff member.Below are some suggestions to keep the appreciation going all week: Let’s make sure our teachers and staff feel loved and appreciated! The fun continues the entire week. I am sure you all would agree that Hedenkamp has the very best staff anywhere. Staff appreciation week begins tomorrow, May 1st.
